Edinburgh derby centre stage in BT Cup Quarter-final draws
The draws for the quarter-finals of the BT Cup and BT National League Cup have taken place.
Players from the upcoming Schools’ Cup final made the draw at BT Murrayfield this afternoon.
Edinburgh team, Watsonians will host neighbours, Boroughmuir in a derby match that will add extra incentive to the knock-out fixture.
BT Premiership leaders and BT Cup champions, Melrose travel to league newcomers, Marr, where the home team recently shocked Glasgow Hawks.
Edinburgh Accies will represent BT National League 1 away to Stirling County and Hawick, who currently sit bottom of the BT premiership will be eager to pick up another win when they welcome Ayr.
The BT Cup sees the top teams from BT National League 1 play the BT Premiership sides in Scottish Rugby’s premier knock-out competition.
In the BT National League Cup, St Boswells welcome Highland and Stewart’s Melville host Peebles.
GHA will travel to the borders to play Kelso and GHK will take on Dumfries.
The BT National League Cup provides a platform for teams across the country to compete in a competitive knock-out tournament.
