Some 500 supporters descended on the back pitches and watched as the squad were put through a warm-up, practised contact drills, worked on unit skills and then played out a 15 v 15 game. At the end of the session, the Scotland players signed autographs and posed for photographs with their fans. The Scotland team to play Ireland will be announced at 10.45am on Tuesday and first details and reaction will be on this website. Two players took no part in tonight’s training, hooker Scott Lawson, who is still recovering from a twisted right ankle; and prop Gavin Kerr, who has a foot injury.
