Tennent’s League preview | 25 & 26 September 2021

​Are you ready for another weekend of grassroots rugby? We are! Here’s everything you need to know about what’s coming up on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 September.

It’s time for Round 4 in the men’s Tennent’s Premiership league.

Just one point separates Glasgow Hawks from Musselburgh in the table as it stands, so it’s all to play for between the two as they take to Balgray this weekend.

Jed-Forest will venture north to play away at Aberdeen Grammar whilst Edinburgh Academical face Hawick and GHA take on Marr.

Selkirk’s fixture with Currie Chieftains has been postponed due to covid-19.

Turning to the men’s Tennent’s National 1 competition, there are two changes in the fixtures scheulde as Ayr’s match against Biggar plus Cartha Queen’s Park’s fixture against Dundee have been postponed due to covid-19. These fixtures will be rescheduled.

Heriot’s Blues will welcome Gala to Golden Acre, and Highland will make their way to Meggetland to face Boroughmuir.

Borders clubs Kelso and Melrose will take on Stirling Wolves and Watsonians respectively.

All games in the Tennent’s Premiership and National 1 leagues are set to kick off at 3pm on Saturday 25 September.

Round 3 of the women’s Tennent’s Premiership will get underway this weekend starting with a local derby between Heriot’s Blues and Corstorphine, with the Blues looking to record their first win of the season.

Cartha Queen’s Park will welcome Watsonians, whilst Stirling County take on Hillhead Jordanhill.

Kicking-off their fourth round of competition is the women’s Tennent’s National 1 league.

Ayr will make their way to Violetbank to take on the Annan Warriors as both sides look to record their first win of the season.

Whilst a top of the table clash takes place at Kellands Park between Garioch and West of Scotland. Just one-point separates the two teams, with West currently sitting top of the table. It’s all to play for in this fixture.

Finally, Stewartry and Howe of Fife will host Kelso and Broughton respectively.

All games in the Tennent’s Premiership and National 1 leagues are set to kick off at 2pm on Sunday 26 September.
