Tennent’s Men’s National League Division 1 Preview | 31 March
Find out all you need to know ahead of another round of Tennent's National League Division 1 action.
This week’s men’s Tennent’s National League Division 1 action could see the final side to be relegated confirmed.
With Aberdeen Grammar and Stewart’s Melville destined for Division 2 next season, Watsonians, who currently sit in the final relegation spot, host Stirling County who sit one spot and just one point above them.
A win for either side will guarantee them safety, but as this is County’s last fixture whilst Watsonians have one more, a draw would give Watsonians a final chance to save themselves on the final weekend.
At the top of the table, Kelso could get within touching distance of the league title when they travel to GHK. Kelso are currently five points clear of Ayr, and both sides have two games left. Ayr have no fixture this weekend, so a bonus point win for Kelso would require Ayr to win both of their remaining games with bonus points and hope that Kelso get no points from their final match.
Elsewhere, Dundee could climb up to seventh place with a win when they host Highland.
Aberdeen Grammar will seek a fourth win of the season when they travel to Biggar.
And Melrose will hope to keep their hopes of finishing second alive with a win away to Stewart’s Melville.
This week, Dundee v Highland is at 2pm, and all the other matches kick off at 3pm.
