Tennent’s Women’s Premiership

Stirling County have made an impressive start to the Premiership campaign this season claiming three wins from three, for 14 league points, taking them to the top of the table.

The current leaders will welcome Heriot’s Blues to Bridgehaugh this Saturday, looking to maintain their winning streak.

Heriot’s have also had a strong start to the competition, with two wins from three, including their victory last weekend over reining champions, Watsonians. They now sit third in the table with a game in hand.

A win from Heriot’s could see them leap frog last year’s championship winners, Watsonians.

On Sunday, it’s a double West versus East as Hillhead Jordanhill host Watsonians and Cartha welcome Cougars to Dumbreck.

Both Watsonians and Hills suffered defeat last weekend and will be looking to get back on track on Sunday.

Cougars return to the action this weekend after a bye last week. Their previous game against Hillhead Jordanhill saw the Edinburgh side come out on top with a 14-7 win.

Whilst Cartha have won two of their four games so far this season and currently find themselves in fourth place in the league standings, but a win from Cougars could see them overtaken.

Garioch have a bye weekend and will next play on Saturday 8 October when they host Heriot’s Blues at Kellands Park.

Broughton, who continue to look for their first league win, will host Howe of Fife at Wardie.

All three fixtures kick off at 2pm.
