Findlay Thomson thunders up the pitch, making 60 metres, but another jackal penalty is conceded and that could be that.
Uruguay kick out on the full, and Scotland throw in from just outside the 22.
It goes array, and Uruguay kick 80 metres up the pitch and almost score but for a knock on.

Another UNBELIEVABLE maul from Scotland!
It’s easily made 20 metres there, and a Uruguayan forward has been sin binned for collapsing.
A huge score for Uruguay.
Pick and goes from the rucks give them front foot ball, and then a break on the right gets them over.
Uruguay exit, and then from the lineout Scotland cough up possession.
But luckily, Uruguay’s kick goes straight out and Scotland get a second go at it.
It easily had the legs there from 62 metres, but it goes right of the posts and wide.
Scotland fling it from side to side, and Finn Douglas gets it on the left, but he just has a toe in touch and Uruguay have the lineout on their 10 metre line.
So so unlucky from Afshar.
He gathers a half-blocked box kick so well with his fingertips, but his hack ahead goes all the through the dead ball area and out.
Uruguay scrum just over 40 metres from our line.

Uruguay gather their own restart, but Scotland are strong in their defence.
Good pressure forces a knock on, right on the halfway line.
What a break from Dan King. The dummy gets him through in the middle of the park, but his offload to Findlay Thomson goes to deck and a knock on is given.
This time it’s Erskine who gets his second!
The maul was this time stopped legally, but the forwards fought for each inch to get to the line, the big second row being the one to ground it.
Scotland come forward straight away, and McLean’s grubber is gathered by King. Nothing coming, and we go back for a penalty advantage which is duly hoofed into the left corner…

It’s such a good platform for Scotland in this game.

Scotland get a good kick away inside their own half, but the chasers are offside and Uruguay kick to touch.
They’ll have the lineout just over 40 metres from Scotland’s line.
A knock on at the halfway line from Scotland, and Uruguay thunder up the pitch on the counter and score in the corner.
Scotland making yards with every carry in this match, but Tait knocks on at the bottom of a ruck and Uruguay will have the scrum on halfway.
Worth saying that while Scotland look dangerous with every possession, so do their opponents.
An unneccessary push on Corey Tait, and Uruguay’s hooker is sent to the bin. Scotland kick the penalty into Uruguay’s 22 but lose it at the lineout.
That’s the interval.
There’s real promise when Scotland come forward, but more possession in the right areas is needed for Scotland to turn this around in the second half.

Uruguay come forward and hack through, but Dan King grounds it.
Scotland exit via the goalline dropout, but Uruguay respond with an excellent 50 metre drop goal.
Another Corey Tait maul try!
Dan King is hit late and Scotland win the penalty, which is kicked to the right corner.
The maul is once again excellent in it’s structure and Tait goes over at the back.
A successful driving maul from the lineout gives our opponents a second score.
So unfortunate for Corey Tait.
Good play from Scotland gets the up to the line, but Corey Tait is wrapped up as he wrestles his way over.
Uruguay will exit from their own line.
The lineout goes to the tail successfully, and Eddie Erskine is too strong for the defence a phase later and fights over.

An incredible maul that from Scotland on the left, and it leads to a penalty.
Dan King belts it into touch inside Uruguay’s 22.
Interesting few minutes for Eddie Erskine…
He’s just been sin-binned for taking the man in the air at a lineout.
Uruguay kick the penalty out around six metres out on the right.
A big linebreak in midfield from Ben Salmon gets Scotland up the pitch, and Craig Davidson gets brought down inches short.
But a Uruguay defender gets on the ball at the ruck, and the holding on penalty is given.
Scotland attack up the left, and Uruguay almost intercept but there’s a slight knock on.
Lucky for Scotland that, as their opponents looked to be in for a second score until the referee blew his whistle.
Uruguay lead by 10.
Scotland survive again, but within a minute another jackal penalty is won by Uruguay.
This kick at goal comes from inside Scotland’s half, right of the sticks…
Some almighty hoofs in the Nairobi son just now. Dan King brings an end to it by sticking it into touch around halfway.
A slow start from Scotland, but you have to say this is an excellent try from Uruguay.
A break down the right wing, and two inside offloads get them over the line from a phase that started on halfway.
A first real attacking platform comes for Scotland as a knock in midfield from Uruguay gives us the scrum put-in.

Ben Afshar hoofs the ball into touch as Scotland deal with the kick off, but from the resulting lineout the Scottish pack give away the penalty for an early attempt to sack the maul. The lifted man was still in the air when contact was made.
