Scrum penalty for Portugal, which is kicked into the left corner. They then get another penalty for playing the lineout jumper in the air, and Portugal opt for a scrum five metres out.
Tom Jordan runs from halfway for what he thought was his first Scotland try. Unfortunately, there was a forward pass in the 22 and he walks back with a wry smile.

Penalty kicked into our visitors’ 22 on the left side.
After Alex Craig came back on to replace Alex Samuel, Jordan kicked to the corner for Graham but it sailed into touch, then Portugal exited to just inside their half.

Jamie Dobie on for George Horne, and Matt Currie comes on for his home debut to replace Rory Hutchinson.
Portugal steal the lineout but Bayliss wins it back, then the visitors are off their feet at the breakdown. Penalty kicked into the right corner.

We’re pinned five metres from the line with the throw-in after a clever kick from the visitors.
Touch is found but we’re still in our 22, Portugal’s throw.

Hutchinson breaks down the right and hoofs ahead, but Portugal gather just before he can and exit to their 10.

Portugal steal the lineout and clear, but George Horne keeps it in and from absolutely nothing Darcy Graham, in a manner only he can, creates a gap and darts under the sticks. Hastings converts.
Scotland 26-0 Portugal
Portugal clear but their chasers are offside, and we kick the penalty into the right corner.
Arron Reed and Darcy Graham combine on the right, but Reed can’t quite find him.
Away lineout on their 22.
It looks like Portugal’s maul is doing well, but that’s because of some obstruction so Scotland get the penalty, which is kicked to half way.
Portugal going backwards but holding onto the ball, and Scotland get too greedy at the ruck and give the penalty away for not rolling away.
The penalty is hoofed to just outside our 22.
The maul goes down illegally again, and this time it’s a penalty try! Duarte Torgal goes to the bin and Scotland get seven points.
Scotland 19-0 Portugal
Another penalty as Portugal enter the maul from the side, the ball is put back into the left corner.
Rory Hutchinson has the ball stolen from him, but he’d already been tackled so the penalty is given.
Hastings finds the left corner again.
Another lengthy period with both sides having a run. It ends as Portugal kick to touch and we will throw in from around 30 metres from the visitors’ line.
A sizeable Portuguese support by the sound of it, and they cheer as the away team get the jackal penalty near their own line and tap and go.
Portugal get the ball back from a thunderous hit, but they had drifted offside.
We opt for the scrum in the 22 between the posts.
That was close!
A loose pass from Scotland and Portugal race for the posts, but it’s deemed the pass went to ground off a Portuguese hand so Scotland get the scrum around 35m from Portugal’s try line.
Portugal win the initial hit in the scrum and get the penalty, but Darcy keeps their kick to touch in play and runs back…
Portugal hold firm in defence for five or six phases, then Darcy Graham finds a gap on the right and passes inside to Tom Jordan, but the full back is smashed as he grabs it and knocks on.

Scotland clear their lines and then Portugal knock on as they run back. First scrum of the day, and it’s on Portugal’s 10m line.
Jeez, that was a long period of play. There’s some tired bodies out there just now, but it’s Stafford McDowall who profits.
Breaks from both side, and play completely opened up. A loose pass from Portugal in midfield and the inside centre picks up and sprints under the posts. Hastings converts.
