FOSROC Super6 Premiership Player Pool
Following the conclusion of the FOSROC Super6 on Sunday 17 October, some FOSROC Super6 players are now permitted to play in the Tennent’s Premiership from Saturday 30 October 2021.
The creation of the FOSROC Super6 Premiership Player Pool, in partnership with the Premiership clubs, enables players, who fall into one of the following categories, to have more playing opportunities:
- FOSROC Scottish Rugby Contracted Academy Players and/or those who may represent Scotland U20 at International age-grade level in the coming season.
- FOSROC Super6 players who are contracted to a Super6 franchise club who have been identified by their Head Coach as a player who did not get sufficient game time during the FOSROC Super6 tournament
Players allocated to one of the ten Tennent’s Premiership teams are eligible to play up until and including Saturday 11 December as per the National Competition Rules.
As well as the Premiership Player Pool, any FOSROC Super6 player who became Long Term Injured (LTI) during the FOSROC Super6 tournament who will be returning to play, or a player who joined a FOSROC Super6 team mid-way through the tournament as a replacement for a LTI player are also afforded the opportunity to play in National Competitions without this affecting their Super6 status for next season.
