Girls’ Rugby National 10’S Tournament & Emerging Teams Tournament

 Sunday 3rd October 2010 Events:            National 10’s Tournament & Emerging Teams TournamentAge Bands:      Under 18 (born 1993, 1994 or 1995) & Under 15 (born 1996, 1997 or 1998)Venue:            GRANGEMOUTH STAGS RFC, Glensburgh Road, Grangemouth, Stirlingshire, FX3 8XLRegistration:    11.30Kick off:           12.00Finish:             16.00 For both events, schools & clubs can register any number of players, or players can register individually.  Ideally, a team should have a maximum of 14 players.  If you do not have a full team, your players will be combined with another small team to ensure that as many players as possible have the opportunity to participate.Please note the following:Þ    For the U18 event, participating players must be born in 1993, 1994 or 1995.Þ    For the U15 event, participating players must be born in 1996, 1997 or 1998.Þ    If a player wishes to participate in a different age band, then exception approval MUST be applied for and approved BEFORE participation in the event.Þ    Teams are asked to arrive CHANGED, if possible, to ease pressure on facilities.Þ    Both tournaments will be played using the relevant Scottish Rugby Law Variations for U18 Girls and U15 Girls.  These can be found here.Þ    The 10’s tournament will be 10-aside.   Where necessary, smaller teams will be combined to form squads of up to 14 players to ensure all teams are playing 10-aside.  If player numbers do not allow for this, we will allow player-matching down to 7-aside.Þ    The Emerging Teams tournament will be played at 7- to 10-aside, with player-matching.Þ    All players attending should be registered online on the Scottish Rugby Player Registration System.If you are interested in attending and haven’t already registered, please contact Car Stevenson, Rugby Development Manager (Women & Girls) on 07969 284168.
