Glen will move from his General Manager role at the Bulls and step up to Scotstoun at the start of March where he will aim to grow the thriving network of sponsors and partners across the city and beyond, whilst also working with the Commercial team to ensure the current sponsors and partners, and the club, are maximising their partnerships.

He joined Ayr Rugby on a full-time basis in 2019, following time at Millbrae as a player, member, and coach. He is a well-known face across rugby in Scotland having spent more than 12 years with Scottish Rugby in various development roles.

Last year Scottish Rugby committed to providing financial support to the six licence FOSORC Super6 teams to appoint a full-time General Manager to lead on their respective Super6 team’s off-field operations.

During his time at Millbrae, Ayrshire Bulls off-field professionalism went from strength-to-strength with Tippet showing how a team can be developed in a way that will help it meet the same level of professionalism on the field.

Glen Tippet said: “Glasgow Warriors has a fantastic offering into the community, and now in my role I want to build on that narrative and use the great players the club has and its rich history, to share our story and bring new people and sponsors on our journey.

“I’m passionate about rugby, I’m passionate about Glasgow Warriors, and I know the values this sport has. I’ve been fortunate enough to contribute to successes at Ayr as a player and developing the club off the pitch over the past 20 years.

“Success often comes from a desire to be a part of something, so I can’t wait to get involved with and contribute to the success of Glasgow Warriors moving forward.”

Glasgow Warriors Manging Director Al Kellock said: “Glen was the stand-out applicant in our recruitment process for the Head of Commercial. Particularly because of his successes growing Ayrshire Bulls’ portfolio of sponsors.

“He also brings a wealth of knowledge from his time working in the community game. This is a valuable asset as we strive to continue to have an impact in the lives of people in our city and across the west.”

With his departure announced the recruitment process for Ayrshire Bulls General Manager is now underway. More information can be found HERE.
