Japan qualifies for Scotland’s Rugby World Cup group

Japan have booked their place in next year’s Rugby World Cup in England after being crowned Asian Five Nations Champions at the weekend.Their 49-8 success against Hong Kong in Tokyo means Japan are in Pool B next year alongside Scotland, South Africa, Samoa and USA.The game between Scotland and Japan is scheduled to be played at Kingsholm, home of Gloucester RFC on Wednesday 23 September with a 2.30pm kick-off. It will be Scotland’s first game in the competition, while Japan will have played South Africa four days before.
