Scotland equalled their biggest score against Wales (35 points) and recorded their biggest winning margin against them of 28 points.
Tries from George Turner, Kyle Steyn (2), Blair Kinghorn and Matt Fagerson gave Scotland their second straight win in the 2023 Guinness Six Nations.
Scotland come forward and applaud the West Stand. The applause is returned tenfold by the home supporters.

Jamie Ritchie raises the Doddie Weir Cup aloft. He couldn’t look any prouder to be doing so. A smile as big as the winning margin.
There were 22 (TWENTY TWO) unanswered points for Scotland in that second half!
Finn is feeling good now.
The maul isn’t going anywhere, so our fly-half demands the ball and kicks it across to Steyn on the right, who gathers and goes over!

IT’S A FIFTH SCOTTISH TRY!
The maul drives infield, and after one carry from the forwards, who else but Finn Russell finds a looping pass out to Matt Fagerson on the left wing in acres of space.
Relentless and elegant in equal measure.
We don’t exit well, as the kick goes straight out just outside our 22.
Wales will attack from there.
Wales get over the line, but Matt Fagerson holds it up brilliantly!
We will kick clear from the try line.
Wales are nearly through, but a knock on gives possession back.
Russell clears to the edge of the 22, and from the resulting lineout maul Scotland are given the scrum.
And then Scotland win the scrum penalty! We clear to about 35 metres out.
We maul from the lineout and Wales are pinged.
As Finn kicks to the edge of Wales’ 22, “Flower of Scotland” rings out around BT Murrayfield.
BONUS POINT TRY!
The ball is worked out to the left, where Duhan causes damage as he has done all afternoon.
He passes inside to Blair Kinghorn, who is too quick for the covering defenders!
This has been an amazing second half!
Duhan looked to be through there, but play is stopped for a block from Jamie Ritchie.

Wales build the phases. Ritchie thinks he has the turnover, but instead is penalised himself.
Wales opt for a scrum five.

Fraser Brown replaces George Turner at hooker
Zander, Schoe and Gilchrist come off, and Nel, Bhatti and Jonny Gray replace them.
Turner is having a busy day. He carries hard and Wales are soon penalised for offside.
We kick to their 22.
WHAT AN OFFLOAD FROM FINN FANTASTIC!
He dummies, gets all the way to the line and, cool as only Finn can be, chucks a one-handed underarm throw to Kyle Steyn, who dots down in the corner.

Scotland are defending phase play well.
Wales are penalised for side entry, and we exit our 22 to halfway.
Turner is back on from his yellow card, meaning Brown has gone off and Crosbie has come back on.
Blair Kinghorn gets us up the park with a pacey run up the left.
We’re not getting far, but Finn spots a gap and puts through a grubber into the 22!

Turner gets right up to the line, but loses the ball whilst reaching to place it!
Scotland are then penalised for a high tackle.
The other eight points for Scotland came from the boot of Finn Russell.
George Turner bullied his way over the line for Scotland’s only try of the half.
Crosbie has had to come off injured, and is replaced by Dempsey.

Scotland are still down to 14 after George Turner’s yellow card.
With seconds left in this half, Wales are awarded a breakdown penalty and kick into our 22.

We’re having a look at a high tackle by the man who has just scored a try, George Turner.
George North was the man who went down.
Wales get very close to the line, but a misplaced pass goes out and half time is called.
We lead by six at the break in a contest that has heated up as it has gone on.
An interesting few minutes for George, that. He sees yellow and apologises to North on his way off.
Zander is penalised for not rolling, and Wales kick it to the left corner…
From the lineout, Wales maul their way over the line and captain Ken Owens dots down in the left corner.
Biggar’s conversion is good.

George turned himself on the floor, to ground the ball over his head whilst he was lying on his back.
The conversion is good from Finn.
Finn makes it 3/3 as he converts Turners try.
We’re going to the TMO, George Turner thinks he’s scored from the maul!
Scotland are penalised again at the scrum, but this time it’s a penalty.
Dan Biggar will kick at goal from just under 40 metres.
Wales have a penalty, and kick to the corner.
But Richie Gray pinches the lineout! Scotland clear to the edge of the 22.
Scotland pick up another penalty in midfield, and kick it into Wales’ 22…
Sione is now penalised for an extra roll on the ground, and Wales kick into our half.
They gather the lineout, but knock it on in midfield. Scotland have the scrum.
Biggar hooks it left, and Scotland survive.
But they’ve kicked the restart from the 22 straight out, so it’s a Welsh lineout on the 22.
Wales come forward again, and Josh Adams’ kick through is gathered by Duhan van der Merwe.
But he’s tackled over the try line, and Wales scrum down five metres from our line.
Wales attack, but Scotland look resilient in their own 22.
And Jamie Ritchie wins the penalty at the breakdown! He was rapid to latch on to that.
“That was the first real attacking opportunity. It was great from Sione.
“A lovely kick from Finn, but the scramble defence was amazing from Wales.
“Both teams will be happy with the three points.”

Scotland can’t capitalise, but Wales are offside and Finn will kick at goal from in front of the posts.
Scotland survive! Wales’ backs are offside at the scrum.

Finn opens this afternoons’ scoring with two successful penalty kicks at goal in the first 15minutes of the game.

Wales are penalised for not releasing, and Finn is going to kick at goal again.
This one is about 30 metres out, just left of the posts.

Scotland kicked off their 2023 Guinness Six Nations with a 29-23 win away to England last weekend.
Tries from Huw Jones and Ben White, and an incredible double from Duhan van der Merwe, secured Scotland the bonus point win.
Today’s Scotland team are in the building.
There was a special moment on arrival, where captain Jamie Ritchie set a number 5 Jersey with the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation tartan on it down on at the Doddie statue.
Scotland will take to the field to take on Wales in an hour’s time.

Tickets are still available for Scotland’s final match in the 2023 Guinness Six Nations against Italy at BT Murrayfield on Saturday 18 March, kick-off 12.30pm.
It will be an emotional day at BT Murrayfield with this being the first home game since the sad passing of Doddie Weir in November.
