A 29-15 win over Fiji secures a quarter-final for Scotland, a first since 2002!
Next Saturday’s 12pm kick off against Canada at Sandy Park, Exeter will decide who wins the group, and who our last-eight opponents will be.

Scotland steal the lineout but then immediately concede another penalty. This time Fijiana tap and go
Fiji win the penalty at the scrum. They kick into the left corner.

Fiji steal it back and break up the left, and Lomani looks a dead cert for the corner, but McGhie comes from absolutely nowhere and hits her into touch, causing a knock-on in the process.
Scotland scrum way back on our own 5m line, but far better than conceding a try.

Rollie breaks down the left and is felled on Fiji’s 22, then it goes to the right where Lloyd is tackled into touch. The ball came into Scottish hands via a second ruck turnover of the game from Rollie; not bad for a full-back!

Tawake’s yellow upgraded to a 20-minute red card. She won’t be back on, but Fiji will be able to replace her in 11 minutes.

Scotland identify a mismatch down the right as Orr is opposite a forward. She steps round her, accelerates to the right corner, and then round the last defender and over. Nelson with perhaps her toughest conversion of the day, and she absolutely nails it.

The maul after the lineout was brought down close, and a couple of phases later Rollie finds McGhie on the left wing to step inside the last tackler and score.

Better from Scotland. It’s been all Fiji so far in the second half.
Lloyd fields a kick and it goes all the way from right to left via the backs to McGhie, who finds space. Fiji then go off their feet as they counter-ruck.

Ball trapped in the ruck with Fiji taking it in, so they’ll get the scrum on their 22.
Two excellent offloads from Fiji and Manuoalo Komaitai is in under the posts.
But a fantastic charge-down from McGhie stops the conversion going over.

This time it’s Martin deemed to rip the ball from a tackled player.

Fiji pinch the lineout and kick it out.
Three tries sees us 17-5 up at the break!
Martin steals the lineout, but then Fiji win the penalty and run it back from their own line all the way to halfway.
But then Rollie is over the ball at the ruck and wins the jackal penalty. We’ll now throw in on Fiji’s 22 after a hectic phase of play.

Brebner-Holden finds Thomson from the scrum, who turns and hoofs it towards the blind side.
It takes one bounce and goes out just inside Fiji’s 22, and we’ll get the lineout there.
Big hits in quick succession from Brebner-Holden, Malcolm and Gallagher, and it pays off as Fiji knock on.

The ball pops out the back of a Fiji ruck and Orr is onto it in milliseconds. She’s brought down but Scotland recycle quickly to the right, and Lloyd pins her ears back and finds the line. Nelson converts.

Daunimoala through the middle again and chips over Rollie, but the full-back recovers and then Daunimoala hits her on the ground.

Martin deemed offside as Fiji clear their lines, but the kick to touch is kept in by Nelson.

So close for Bartlett! Fiji steal the lineout but then the loosehead prop rips it free and goes for the left corner. She tries to find Bonar on her inside but it goes forward.
