The Nations Championship brings together the best rugby teams from around the world in one historic tournament. For the first time, Northern and Southern Hemisphere series are linked, culminating in an action-packed Finals Weekend in London. From July’s Southern Hemisphere away fixtures to November’s Northern Series at Scottish Gas Murrayfield, formerly known as the Autumn Tests, every match now counts toward a global championship.

A new era of international rugby begins as the world’s best go head-to-head across two connected series. The Summer Tours and Autumn Tests now lead to one epic Finals Weekend, crowning the ultimate international champion.

Nations Championship: Round 4-6 (November)

Northern Hemisphere Series
The traditional November games in Britain, Ireland and France (at Scottish Gas Murrayfield known as the Autumn Tests or Autumn Nations Series) will still take place but will now be the second set of games in the Nations Championship. The action continues on home soil for the Northern Hemisphere Series in November, where Scotland will host New Zealand, Australia, and Japan at Scottish Gas Murrayfield. 

7 November 2026 at 2:10pm: Scotland v New Zealand

21 November 2026 at 2:10pm: Scotland v Japan

Finals Weekend

London, 27/28/29 November
At the end of the final three rounds, the two Nations Championship tables will be complete, one for each hemisphere. Over three days of double-headers at Allianz Stadium (formerly Twickenham) the six teams of each hemisphere will play their correspondingly-placed counterpart, starting with 6^th place v 6^th place, and culminating in 1^st place v 1^st place to determine the Nations Championship winner.

The campaign kicked off in Córdoba with an explosive seven-try performance, securing a historic 47-38 win over Argentina as Pierre Schoeman and Scott Cummings celebrated their 50th international caps with tries, alongside a debut score from Gregor Hiddleston. Scotland then headed to Pretoria, delivering a brave four-try effort at high altitude against the world champion Springboks to collect a vital bonus point in a 42-28 defeat. The series concluded in Edinburgh as Fiji hosted their home Test at Scottish Gas Murrayfield; after falling behind in the first half, Scotland mounted a stunning second-half fightback, scoring 26 unanswered points to seal a 33-17 victory.

With 11 points on the board, Scotland trailing Northern leaders France by a single point heading into a massive November series at home against New Zealand, Australia, and Japan.
