Tickets for the opening leg of Scottish rugby's oldest and fiercest rivalry are now on general sale, as Edinburgh Rugby host Glasgow Warriors in the 1872 Cup at Scottish Gas Murrayfield on Sunday 27 December.
This year, the capital clash is the only 1872 Cup meeting between the two sides over the festive period, with the second and deciding leg moving to Hampden Park in April – making this Boxing week fixture a must-see for all URC fans!
The 1872 Cup remains one of the standout dates in the Scottish rugby calendar, with attendances climbing year on year – close to 40,000 packed into Scottish Gas Murrayfield last season, following a record crowd of over 40,000 in 2024.
Fans across the country can expect a showcase of Scottish talent, with both squads bursting with international players. Whether its Darcy Graham and Pierre Schoeman, or Sione Tuipulotu and Kyle Steyn, there is no shortage of star power going head-to-head for bragging rights and the historic trophy.
