Hosts, Stirling County, go into the fixture buoyed by their unbeaten run in the league but are acutely aware of the threat that the Edinburgh side pose.

Speaking ahead of the final, Stirling County captain, Jodie Murdoch, said: “We’re expecting a very physical, fast game. It’s always a fast game [between both sides] and it will be challenging.

“It’s a final and we don’t know how it is going to go. We just need to stick to our processes and how we’ve played all season and see what happens on the day.”

The side have faced each other thrice this season, with Stirling County coming out on top across the three encounters, however, Watsonians are ready to embrace the challenge.

Watsonians captain, Rachel Law, said: “We met them in our last match of the regular season and we know exactly how they like to play but it also gave us an opportunity for us to finalize a few little bits and pieces and try some different combinations so we are really looking forward to playing them again.”
