Autumn Tests kick-off times and on-sale dates confirmed

Scottish Rugby today confirmed kick-off times and on-sale dates for Scotland’s next home matches at BT Murrayfield, starting with the 2018 Autumn Test Pass on Wednesday 20 June.

Scotland will open their Autumn Test account against Wales in a new fixture this November and contest the ‘Doddie Weir Cup’, as both teams support the former Scotland and British & Irish Lions player who has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease.

The Wales game will provide Test-level build-up for the Scot’s home 2018 Autumn Tests at BT Murrayfield, which will kick-off on Saturday 10 November against Fiji (kick-off 2.30pm), followed on consecutive Saturdays by fixtures against South Africa (17 November, kick-off 5.20pm) and Argentina (24 November, kick-off 2.30pm).

The last eight Scotland games at BT Murrayfield have attracted sell-out crowds and, with the Scotland Season Pass already sold out, next the opportunity to attend all Scotland’s home games is offered by a range of series-packages throughout the year, the next of which is for the Autumn Tests.

Discounted, multi-game packages, which allow supporters the chance to see any combination of games, will go on sale on Wednesday 20 June at 10am.

Individual match tickets will then go on sale on Wednesday 4 July.

2018 Autumn Tests

Head Coach Gregor Townsend will kick off his second season in charge of Scotland against the Fijians and will no doubt be eager to reverse the result the last time the two teams met, in Suva at the end of last year’s summer’s tour, when his side narrowly lost.

The following weekend, the Springboks return to Edinburgh for the first time in five years. Scotland haven’t won against South Africa since the 2010 Autumn Test however improved results in have the hosts ranked higher in the World Rugby Rankings.

The visit of Argentina completes the series, with the Scots celebrating success against the Pumas on the past three meetings since the South Americans knocked their hosts out Rugby World Cup 2011 in New Zealand.
