BBC ALBA to broadcast Scotland Women’s test against Japan

12 Oct 2021

Supporters have the chance to watch Scotland Women’s crucial clash against Japan at the DAM Health Stadium, Edinburgh (Sunday 14 November, kick-off 4.10pm) as BBC ALBA have confirmed the broadcast of the side’s Autumn Test next month, with tickets also going on sale today.

The fixture is expected to be a keenly contested match, with both sides having the opportunity test themselves before competing in their respective qualification tournaments for next year’s Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.

Scotland’s last encounter against the brave blossoms was in November 2019, which was also the last match they played in front of a home crowd, with Japan taking the spoils that day with a 20-24 win.

The fixture will be a welcome return to home soil following the recent Rugby World Cup 2021 Europe Qualifiers in Parma, where Bryan Easson’s squad kept their World Cup ambitions in sight following two back-to-back wins against Spain and Ireland. Their stunning performance in the final match saw them clinch victory on the 80th minute to edge in front of Ireland and confirm their place in the repechage tournament in January. This success has also seen them rise to an all-time record high of ninth in the Women’s World Rugby rankings.

Tickets for Scotland Women v Japan Women are on sale now HERE. Kids for £1 tickets are available with a paying adult, at £12, and U18s go for £5.

Scottish Rugby has worked with the Scottish Government throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and, with all seats at BT Murrayfield and the DAM Health Stadium available for our Autumn Tests, supporters can be reassured that all relevant safety and security measures will be in place to ensure BT Murrayfield continues to be a safe venue to visit.*
