BBC Scotland support FOSROC Super6 for second season

Scottish Rugby has today confirmed that all 10 Friday night FOSROC Super6 matches will be live on the BBC Sport Scotland website, BBC iPlayer and on the Scottish Rugby website.

This announcement comes ahead of the kick-off to the second season of FOSROC Super6 tomorrow night with Boroughmuir Bears hosting rivals Heriot’s at Meggetland.

The coverage will begin at 7.15pm, prior to kick-off at 7.30pm, with Paul Mitchell on commentary duty this weekend, along with former Boroughmuir Bears captain and FOSROC Scottish Rugby Academy Coach, Chris Laidlaw.

Short highlights of all 33 matches will be available on the BBC Sport Scotland website and Scottish Rugby channels over the course of a weekend, while extended highlights of all matches will be available on the Scottish Rugby website every Monday.

In addition to the Friday night games, Scottish Rugby has secured coverage of every Sunday match on free-to-air channel, FreeSports. Coverage will begin at 1.15pm each week, with highlights of the Friday and Saturday matches shown during the Sunday show.

This Sunday, Jenny Drummond will be hosting the programme from Millbrae, with commentary from Stuart McFarlane and former Scotland international and record points scorer, Chris Paterson.

The FOSROC Super6 commentary team features, Stuart McFarlane, Hugh Dan MacLennan, Paul Mitchell, Jamie Lyall, Rory Hamilton and Bruce Millar.

Friday 30 July
Boroughmuir Bears v Heriot’s Rugby – 7.30pm (Live on BBC Sport Scotland website, BBC iPlayer and Scottish Rugby website)

Saturday 31 July
Stirling County v Southern Knights – 3pm

Sunday 1 August
Ayrshire Bulls v Watsonians Rugby – 1.30pm (Live on FreeSports)
