Glasgow Warriors confirm team for BKT URC Semi-Final showdown

The front-rower is named in Franco Smith’s starting XV as the Warriors look to continue their pursuit of back-to-back URC titles following last week’s hard-fought quarter-final victory over Connacht. Glasgow booked their place in the final four with a 33-21 triumph at Scotstoun, producing an impressive second-half display to secure their semi-final berth.

Hiddleston lines up alongside Jamie Bhatti and Fin Richardson in the front row, with the experienced pairing of Scott Cummings and Alex Samuel continuing in the engine room.

The back-row sees Rory Darge once again captain the side from openside flanker, joined by Euan Ferrie and Henco Venter in a dynamic loose-forward combination that has been instrumental throughout the campaign.

George Horne starts at scrum-half and partners Adam Hastings in the half-backs, while the midfield combination of Tom Jordan and Sione Tuipulotu provides both creativity and physicality in attack.

Out wide, Kyle Rowe and skipper Kyle Steyn offer pace and finishing power on the wings, with Josh McKay selected at full-back.

The Warriors head into the match full of confidence after securing home advantage throughout the play-offs and producing a number of standout performances in recent weeks. Captain Kyle Steyn was among the stars in the quarter-final win over Connacht, crossing twice as Glasgow demonstrated the attacking threat that has made them one of the competition’s most dangerous teams.

With a place in the BKT United Rugby Championship Final at stake, Glasgow will be looking to harness the energy of a passionate Scottish crowd and continue their push for silverware.
