Lineen names Scotland U19 extended training squad
13 Nov 2019Scotland U19 Head Coach Sean Lineen has named a 29-man extended training squad before the start of the age-grade team's season in December.
Scotland U19 Head Coach Sean Lineen has named a 29-man extended training squad before the start of the age-grade team's season in December.
The extended training squad will convene for two training days at BT Murrayfield and Oriam respectively in preparation for their match against Wales at the Centre of Sporting Excellence in Ystrad Mynach on Sunday 8 December.
The U19 FOSROC 4s at Oriam will take place later today and will present the chance for prospective players who have not been selected in the extended training squad to showcase their rugby skills and earn a place in the squad.
Lineen said: “Myself and Shade Munro are looking forward to working with these young U19 players.
“The programme is short but presents a great opportunity to test ourselves against a tough, physical opponent in Wales next month”.
The match against Wales will give players a further chance to put their hands up for selection for the Scotland U20 squad, which will compete in the U20 Six Nations in February.
