A host of rugby talent from yesteryear will be on show for a charity match in the north-east tomorrow (Saturday 25 August).
As part of fund-raising for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation – the charity set up to support research into Motor Neurone Disease after the former Scotland and Lions lock Doddie Weir was diagnosed with the condition – there will be an action-packed day at Mackie Academy playing fields in Stonehaven from 12 noon.
Among the former players taking part will be internationalists Stuart Grimes, Marcus Di Rollo and Barry Stewart; Scotland A caps David Officer and Iain Sinclair and former pro scrum-half Chris Black.
There will also be a barbecue, special entertainment for children, a bar with locally brewed beers and live music in the evening from Alannah Moar and Reloaded.
