Club President Mike Dalgetty said that: “Everyone is immensely proud of the young men and women who are bravely serving their country and as a Club we wanted to do something to show our support.”The 127th staging of the Mathon Melrose Sevens (9th-10th April) will also see an Army team entered into the main competition, with a range of fundraising events also planned.”We are grateful to Melrose RFC for their support and hope that this imaginative and colourful shirt is a great success,” said Marianne Lee, Community Fundraiser, Poppy Scotland, formerly The Earl Haig Fund.Laura Cidzyn, the Kukri shirt designer, said that: “It was really fun to work with this design, which breaks with Melrose tradition with a finished product that is both vibrant and inspiring.”The limited-edition replica jersey can be pre-ordered at www.melroserugbyshop.co.uk or by phone on 01896 822993.
