Premier Sports to show Scotland A fixture in Chile

1 Jun 2022

Scotland A will play Chile in the first match of the national team’s summer tour and the game will be shown live and exclusive on Premier Sports in the UK & Republic of Ireland.

The game will take place on Saturday 25 June (kick-off 9pm BST) in the Estadio Santa Laura Universidad SEK in the Chilean capital of Santiago.

It will be the first time Chile and Scotland will have played each other and it will be the first match ahead of Scotland’s three-Test series in Argentina.

Jamie Lyall is confirmed as lead commentator for Premier Sports, with more talent for the game to be announced shortly.

The last time Scotland A were in action was in 2014 at Scotstoun in a match against England Saxons where Byron McGuigan scored Scotland’s only try in a 16-16 draw.

Chile will use the match as preparation for their Rugby World Cup 2023 play-offs against USA after beating Canada last year in an Americas qualifying match.

As well as being shown live on Premier Sports, the game will be repeated in full on free-to-air channel, FreeSports on Monday 27 June.
