Quarter Finals drawn for Scottish Schools’ Cup and Shield

The draw for the quarter finals of the Scottish Schools’ Cup and Shield competitions has been made.

The top school teams from across the country will play this November as they look to make it to the penultimate round.

Winners from the third round enter into the Cup competitions while those who lost out on Cup quarter final berths will be entered into the Shield for both U18 and U16.

Merchiston Castle School will host Edinburgh rivals George Watson’s College in the U18 Cup while Strathallan School visit defending champions, Stewart’s Melville College.

In the U18 Shield competition, Biggar High School play Gordonstoun School and Hutchesons’ Grammar School, Earlston High School and Kelvinside Academy await those still to qualify.

At U16 level, Marr College will be looking to emulate the recent successes of their senior side in the Shield while Stewart’s Melville College have already booked their semi-final spot in the Cup against Fettes College.
