Scotland Women Head Coach Shade Munro today named the traveling squad from which the team to play Italy in Calvisano on Sunday will be selected.

The group welcomes seven new additions, including Lisa Cockburn (Darlington Mowden Park RFC) who is in line to make her debutfor Scotland.

In addition, Rachel McLachlan (part of the Scottish Futures U20 Squad), Lucy Winter, Caitlin Sedgeworth, Mairi Forsyth, Bryony Nelson and Annabel Sergeant will add to the challenge for places.

Nelson will be joining her sister Helen for the first time in the XV-a-side squad after playing for Scotland 7s together earlier in the year. Sergeant is making her return to Scotland after spending living abroad.

Scotland Women Head Coach, Shade Munro, said: “This squad are looking forward to the upcoming internationals against Italy, Canada and Spain and we hope they will provide good preparation for us going into the Six Nations Championship.

“We have an experienced group for the upcoming matches and they have been gelling well together in our recent training weekends.”

Scotland Women will also be playing against Canada on Tuesday 27 November at Scotstoun as part of the Celebration of Women and Girls Rugby. Tickets are currently on sale for this match which will follow the U18 and U15 Schools Cup Finals.
