The Scotland Women U18 7s Head Coach Graeme Blackhall has announced the squad to compete in Poland for the Rugby Europe Girls U18 Championship this weekend.
Blackhall has made two changes to the squad that came second in the U18 Home Nations two weeks ago.
Shona Campbell, who has been capped for Scotland at Touch Rugby as well as Roma Fraser from the Community School Auchterarder have been brought into the squad.
The rest of the squad remains unchanged with Katie McLaren leading again as captain. Gerry Kimm and Rachel Philips from Biggar RFC will join the Ayrshire duo Cieron Bell and Holly McIntyre. Abbe Bruce, Eva Donaldson and Ciara McCulloch have also remained in the squad.
Scotland Women 7s capped players Meryl Smith and Evie Wills will also be heading to Poland to compete in the Championship that begins tomorrow.
Graeme Blackhall said on the selection, “The two players coming in have been training with us all season and will slide in seamlessly. It is reward for the progress they have shown and I’m sure they will go well.
“Both management and players are looking forward to our first Rugby Europe competition. We learnt a lot in Wales, particularly the intensity we need to reach in order to perform at our best.
“There will be a few challenges as with every new experience for the players to manage this weekend. However, on the pitch we are looking increasingly confident and comfortable with each other and are ready to test ourselves against the best in Europe.”
