Scotland 7s will join the top seeds for day two of the Adelaide Sevens in Australia after wins over Argentina and Portugal today. However, they rallied in the second half to put Glasgow Warriors winger Max Evans over twice to finish 26-10. Scotland 7s 24, Argentina 7s 19 Scotland found themselves 19-17 down with 50 seconds left on the clock in their vital second outing in the Adelaide Sevens this morning, and as Max Evans was shown yellow and sent to the sin bin, things didn’t look good for the Scots. But head coach Stephen Gemmell rallied the troops and Scotland soared to an astounding 24-19 win with Ben Addison clinching the winner. Scott Forrest and Ross Rennie both crossed the whitewash for a try a piece with Addison crossing for a second. Mike Adamson converted twice. Scotland 7s 19, Portugal 7s 5 The final game of day one for Scotland saw them take on familiar opposition. Both Max Evans and Jamie Hunter crossed in the first half with Roddy Grant following suit in the second period. Mike Adamson converted one attempt.
