Scottish Rugby and iPRO Extend Partnership Until 2023

4 Dec 2020

Scottish Rugby has extended its partnership with leading healthy hydration drinks brand iPRO for a further three years.

iPRO supplies Scottish Rugby, the governing body for rugby union in Scotland, with iPRO Hydrate – a refreshing range of sports drinks packed with natural ingredients, containing the recommended daily amount of Vitamin C and added B Vitamins, as well as being caffeine-free and low in sugar.

This successful partnership will see healthy hydration provided for the Scotland National teams, Scotland Representative teams, Guinness PRO14 professional sides, Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby, and all FOSROC Super6 Teams.

The iPRO Hydrate (Sport Edition) Informed-Sport approved range will support the players in their pursuit of international and tournament success, notably in the Autumn Nations Cup taking place from October to December 2020, plus the much-anticipated Guinness Six Nations starting February 2021.

An already successful partnership since 2017, iPRO’s market-leading hydration drinks range will continue to fuel the players to ensure they reach optimal hydration levels at all times. In the demanding game of rugby, every margin counts and as such the feedback from players and specialist staff on the quality of the drinks to rehydrate and aid recovery, has been exceptional.

Scottish Rugby’s Head of Commercial, Al Kellock, said: “We are delighted to further extend our partnership with iPRO. With Isotonic sports drinks being a vital part of our players’ support and preparation, we will continue to work with iPRO across all national and professional teams.”

iPRO Commercial Director, Sophie Christy, added: “We have thoroughly enjoyed working in collaboration with Scottish Rugby over the past three years and we are excited to further expand the success of this partnership through to 2023.

“Across the board from the Commercial Teams, Marketing & Media Teams through to the Playing Departments, including the players themselves, the commitment and support we have received from Scottish Rugby has been world class.

“Optimum hydration is imperative to aid and support the development of athlete performance during training and on those all-important matchdays and iPRO Hydrate offers just that – refreshing hydration for optimum performance!

“We wish all teams the very best of luck for the season ahead.”

With a committed long-term focus on sustainability, all iPRO Hydrate packaging is 100% recyclable and as such the brand recognises how sustainable packaging plays an integral role for partners when striving to lessen the impact on the environment, particularly for those of International stature.
