Scottish Rugby today announced the national league fixtures for the 2018/19 season in the newly sponsored Tennent’s Leagues.

Defending league-cup Champions Melrose will begin their double defence this coming season away to Borders rivals Hawick in the opening round of the Tennent’s Premiership.

Last year’s runners-up, Ayr, will travel to newly promoted Edinburgh Accies and Currie Chieftains will play an Edinburgh derby against Boroughmuir.

Heriot’s travel to Glasgow Hawks and Watsonians take on Stirling County at Myreside in the remaining matches.

In Tennent’s National League Division 1, newly promoted Kirkcaldy and Hamilton welcome Borders opposition in Selkirk and Gala respectively on their opening weekend.

Marr, who were relegated by a single point from last year’s Premiership, play their first match against Dundee High.

Tennent’s National League Division 2 kicks off with league newcomers Highland hosting Preston Lodge and Glasgow Accies travelling to Peebles after taking the top two spots in last season’s National League 3.

Falkirk and Stewart’s Melville, who were relegated to Tennent’s National League 2 play Howe of Fife and Whitecraigs respectively.

The first round of Tennent’s National League Division 3 sees Carrick and Caithness make the step up from the regional leagues where they will face Haddington and Newton Stewart.

West of Scotland will be looking to bounce back after being relegated on points difference when they visit Orkney.

The structure of the Tennent’s Premiership and Tennent’s National Leagues 1, 2 and 3 remain the same as last season.

The top two finishers in the Tennent’s Premiership earn a home semi-final against the two teams finishing in third and fourth place.

The highest placed winner from the semi-finals will then become the host of the final where the Tennent’s Premiership league champions will be decided.
