As a result, the Macron Hero logo will continue to feature on the shirts of the Scotland national teams, the two Scottish professional clubs (Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby), its youth and age-grade sides and match officials beyond 2030.

The relationship was established 15 years ago when Macron announced its first agreement with Scottish rugby and became technical partner to Edinburgh Rugby. The Italian brand became the official technical partner to Scottish Rugby in 2013. Since then the relationship between the two organisations has become one of the strongest and most productive in the world of rugby. The ties extend far beyond the technical partnership itself, featuring respect and friendship and have developed with every passing year and with the achievement of many prestigious results.

The collaboration also covers the management of the official Scottish Rugby store at Scottish Gas Murrayfield stadium, along with the sale of merchandise for Scotland, Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby matches. Macron also manages the official online shop of Scottish Rugby.

This long-term partnership has made it possible to plan, develop, research and innovate continuously. Macron has been able to provide players, employees and supporters with high-performance and sustainable sportswear with a refined, modern design that embodies the identity of the national side and its associated clubs and that expresses a sense of pride in the colours of the nation.

Gianluca Pavanello, Macron’s CEO, explains: “Our relationship with Scottish Rugby Union is an extremely important part of our company’s recent history. This latest renewal confirms the strength of the ties between us which, over the years, have enabled us to grow together and to grow the entire Scottish rugby movement too. We have been able to look to the future and develop projects that are increasingly inspired by the spirit and values of this splendid sport. We are proud to partner Scottish Rugby for many years to come, to accompany the national sides and Scottish clubs in prestigious national and international competitions, and to supply technical sportswear that is unbeatable for innovation, style and design.”

Scottish Rugby Limited Chair, John McGuigan, said: We are very fortunate to have such an excellent and established relationship with our friends at Macron. I had the pleasure of meeting Gianluca in Edinburgh and hearing all about their ambitions for the brand and investment in their Campus in Bologna.

“Macron has been a positive partner of Scottish Rugby for many years, and I’m pleased we have agreed to extend that relationship further.”
