Scottish Rugby Extends Sympathies To Waysiders Drumpellier

Scottish Rugby is extending its sincere condolences to the family, friends and team-mates of Waysiders Drumpellier winger Jono Laughran who died in a car accident last week. Laughran, 24, an electrician from Airdrie, had recently been voted WD’s “most important player” and was a renowned try-scorer and goal-kicker.Scottish Rugby is extending its sincere condolences to the family, friends and team-mates of Waysiders Drumpellier winger Jono Laughran who died in a car accident last week. Another club member, supporter Jim Easton, 25, a work colleague of Mr Laughran’s, died in the same accident and Scottish Rugby is also extending its sympathies to Mr Easton’s family and friends. The accident happened in Gartcosh last Thursday. Waysiders Drumpellier have asked Scottish Rugby to pass on their gratitude to other clubs and the wider community for the many messages of support they have received. Mr Laughran’s funeral is scheduled to take place on Friday (18 May) at All Saints Church, Coatdyke at 9.30am.
