Scotland dominated the first half with good possession and territory and Sarah Gill’s penalty on 34 minutes handed the away side a half-time lead. But after the break, Ireland took control and their hard work paid off on 54 minutes with stand-off Joanne O’Sullivan scoring the opening try of the match; putting the home side 5-3 ahead. Winger Grace Davitt extended Ireland’s lead with a penalty before Ireland’s captain Sarah Jane Belton crossed the whitewash to end the scoring.
