The Wellermen to perform pre-match entertainment at Scottish Gas Murrayfield

Global folk sensations, The Wellermen, are set to bring their transatlantic sound to Scottish Gas Murrayfield on Saturday 14 February ahead of the highly anticipated Guinness Six Nations clash between Scotland and England.
The group, who first captured the world’s attention with the viral “Wellerman” phenomenon in 2021, have since evolved into a powerhouse live band. Known for a rare dual-bass vocal foundation and rich five-part harmonies, they will build the atmosphere for the oldest rivalry in international rugby.
The pre-match performance marks a busy season for the band, who recently released their first single of the year, Barrett’s Privateers. The track serves as a precursor to their upcoming EP, 1778, which is scheduled for release on 20 March.
The sold-out crowd can expect a blend of traditional roots and contemporary folk energy that honours the storytelling traditions of both the American East Coast and British musicianship.
