Traynor Earns First Scotland Cap
16 Nov 2009
Last season’s Newcomer of the Year, prop Kyle Traynor continued his phenomenal progress by earning his first Scotland cap after coming off the bench during Saturday’s Bank of Scotland Corporate Autumn Test win over Fiji at Murrayfield. The 23-year-old is only in his second season as a professional, but has risen quickly up through the ranks to represent his country and everyone associated with the club would like to congratulate Kyle on his achievement. As a result, he becomes the second former pupil of The John Fisher School in Purley (south London) to win a full Test cap following in the footsteps of England wing Paul Sackey, who was also handed his international debut by Andy Robinson.Kyle will talk about his special achievement during an exclusive interview with Black and Red Radio set to appear here at edinburghrugby.org later in the week. Remember Kyle will be back in the Black and Red for Edinburgh in our next home match against English giants, Bath on Saturday 19 December, kick off 1.35pm.
