Two changes to Scotland Women

Scotland Women Head Coach Shade Munro has made two changes to the squad ahead of their Six Nations match against Wales at The Gnoll in Neath this Sunday (14 February, kick-off 2pm). Wing Lauren Harris moves from the bench and is partnered on the left wing by Rhona Lloyd, who was one of three to make their full debut against England and scored three tries in the friendly against Spain last November.Centre Lisa Thomson and replacement prop Debbie Falconer return to their positions in the squad after being handed their first caps last week in front of vocal home support at Broadwood Stadium, Cumbernauld.Thomson is pairing with centre Megan Gaffney, who is shifting in from the wing where she impressed in the pace stakes against England, to replace injured Hannah Smith.After starting in all five Six Nation’s games last year, Murrayfield Wanderers full-back Chloe Rollie retains her berth alongside the experienced captain and stand-off Lisa Martin, on 25 caps, and scrum-half Sarah Law, 18 caps.The forwards remain settled with no changes made to the starting line-up. Worcester prop Tracey Balmer is packing down with Hillhead Jordanhill duo Lana Skeldon at hooker and Lindsey Smith at tighthead.With 12 caps each, locks Emma Wassell and Deborah McCormack make up the second row.In the back row, openside Karen Dunbar and blindside Jemma Forsyth join the powerful number 8 Jade Konkel.One change to the bench sees 19-year-old Abigail Evans slotting in alongside a mix of experience and youth.Both sides will be seeking their first win in this year’s Women’s Six Nations after opening their respective campaigns with defeats. Scotland lost at home to England 32-0, while Wales lost to Ireland 21-3 at Donnybrook.Head Coach, Shade Munro, said: “We’re aiming to build on our improved performance against England last week.All of our players are hard workers both on and off the pitch and have made great strides in all aspects of the game. “The team is coming together as a unit and are hungry to go one better against Wales and do their families and country proud.” The match is set to be live-streamed by the WRU.
