Edinburgh stand-off Ally Warnock scored a try for Scotland 7s_in the IRB Sevens World Series event in Wellington, but the team_exited the competition at the semi-final stages of the Plate competition.Fellow Edinburgh half-back Greig Laidlaw had produced the heroics earlier on in the tournament with two tries, but Scotland ran out of steam and were beaten 31-7 by Australia in the quarter finals.The side, which_also_included flanker Scott Newlands, then lost 24-12 to Wales in the semi-finals of the Plate; even though 25-year-old Warnock touched down for a try.
