Women’s Game Play Opportunities

4 Aug 2021

Get a head-start on game time with Scottish Rugby’s Women's Development Programme!

Scottish Rugby is running a series of Game Play Opportunities for Women, over 17.

Whether you are looking to give rugby a try for the first time or making your return to the game following the pandemic, we’d be delighted to welcome you to our events.

Your chosen event will give you the opportunity to engage in different variations of the game, no matter your experience or levels of experience. Our host clubs will provide a fun and safe environment for you to access quality gameplay opportunities ahead of the new season.

Scottish Rugby hosted four regional events this month (August), in Caithness, Stewartry, Dunfermline and Garioch. Details on future events are yet to be confirmed, please contact your Regional Team if you would be interested in attending any future events.

Whilst the last year has been tough for everyone, it has been especially so for young people. We want to keep players aged between 18 and 20 engaged in rugby, as well as introduce some more players who have maybe been inspired by the Women’s Six Nations, Olympics, and the British & Irish Lions.

Rugby is everyone’s game, and there is a game for everyone.

It’s a fantastic way to keep fit, improve your mental well-being and develop transferable skills.
