Saturday 2 September, Corstorphine v Stewarty, 1pm KO

Two sides with a win and a loss each in the opening two rounds meet in Edinburgh on Saturday.

Stewartry won a close contest 32-29 at home to Garioch last weekend. A hat-trick from Phaedra Snailham, following on from a double the week before, along with two tries for Claire Manson and one for Jade Stewart meant the home side took the victory.

Corstorphine on the other hand were unable to build on their opening day win, losing 12-5 at home to Hillhead Jordanhill.

Saturday 2 September, Garioch v Heriot’s Blues, 2pm KO

Whilst Garioch lost out to Stewarty last weekend, Head Coach Dave Duguid said: “We are really proud of the performance the team put in and the come back after a slow start to the game. Scoring five tries away from home and gaining those two bonus points could be vital to us come the end of this season.”

Looking ahead to this weekend, he added: “We know it’s going to be a tough game, but we are looking forward to the challenge and are hungry for more.”

Heriot’s picked up their first five points of the season last weekend via an automatic 28-0 win against Cartha Queens Park.

Saturday 2 September, Hillhead Jordanhill v Stirling County, 2pm KO

Again, it’s two teams with a win and a loss in the opening two rounds who play each other here.

Tries from Frances Campbell and Hannah McHugh gave Hills their first win of the season against Corstorphine last weekend after an opening defeat to Watsonians.

Due to insufficient player numbers, Watsonians were awarded an automatic 28-0 win against Stirling County in round two.

Saturday 2 September, Watsonians v Cartha Queens Park

Watsonians lead the league table after two rounds and are undefeated, and will host fourth placed Cartha Queens Park at Myreside.

An opening 43-26 win for the Edinburgh outfit at home to Hillhead Jordanhill was followed up by an automatic five points last weekend.

Cartha come into the fixture with one win, which came at home to Stewartry in a 53-19 victory in the opening round.
