Your weekly rugby fix

23 Mar 2020

Scottish Rugby, Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby are working together behind the scenes to ensure you still get your weekly fix of rugby. Amongst our plans are interviews, live games, new podcast episodes and player news.

Over the next few weeks we’ll be providing our supporters with the very best content we can across all of our channels and directly to their inboxes. While rugby is on hold and many will be working from home or self-isolating, we want to do our bit to help fans remain entertained and remain connected to the wider rugby community.

This week’s plans are detailed below – and will be continually updated – so why not take a read through what’s on and schedule in your rugby reads, listens and games to watch!

Scottish Rugby

Thank you to all the rugby fans that tuned in together on Friday to relive the full 2017 Scotland v Australia game, with over 55,000 viewers watching from around the world. We’ll be lining up more rugby action for you this Friday night at 7pm, when we’ll show another Scotland game via Facebook and YouTube. We’ll be sharing fixture information soon, so watch this space!

The Official Scottish Rugby Podcast will return this week, with our podcast hosts Chris Paterson, Al Kellock and Jamie McMillan, along with some guests all calling in from their homes. This will be released later in the week and we recommend that you subscribe to the podcast on your usual podcast platforms to get a notification as soon it’s released. If you are a new listener or want information on how to subscribe and start listening, click here for details.

Looking for something to watch, listen or read now? Visit the Fanzone for content from all our teams including highlights, interviews, previous podcast episodes and more.

Edinburgh Rugby

Edinburghrugby.org will be hosting some great content this week including their first behind the castle written piece looking into the key people at the club with their kit man. They will also be providing a stadium update on how their #homeatlast is coming together – look out for the update on Thursday.

Edinburgh will also be launching a feature this week where supporters will be able to name their all-time Edinburgh Rugby starting XV! From Andy Irvine to Allan Jacobsen, you can have your say in naming the capital club’s best ever outfit.

Tune in on Saturday for a Capital Classic, as they premiere a previous game through their social channels. Keep an eye on the Edinburgh Rugby Twitter for the details of what game will be coming to your screens this weekend.

Glasgow Warriors

The Warrior Nation should mark their cards for Sunday afternoon, as Glasgow Warriors take their supporters back down memory lane by re-playing their 2017 Heineken Champions Cup trip to Leicester Tigers in full. Stay tuned to the Warriors’ social media channels for full details later in the week. On Wednesday the club will be announcing some player news – check out glasgowwarriors.org for the details.

We’ll also be sending content direct to your inbox, so if you haven’t signed up to our mailing list yet, then you can do so here.
