Norman Douglas (Selkirk) was tonight elected to the Scottish Rugby Council as representative of Premier Division 2 clubs. In a three-way contest run by the Premier Division 2 clubs, Douglas defeated Keith Wallace (Haddington) and David Campbell (Musselburgh).Norman Douglas (Selkirk) was tonight elected to the Scottish Rugby Council as representative of Premier Division 2 clubs. Campbell dropped out after the first round, having secured two votes to Douglas’s four and Wallace’s five. In the second round of voting Douglas attracted six votes to five for Wallace.
