Scottish Rugby Training & Education have launched the first block of Pro-Coach Masterclasses for season 2018/19, providing coaches with the opportunity to hear from Scotland’s top rugby union coaches.
The free workshop series, available to UK Coaching Certificate Level 2, 3 & 4 qualified coaches, will take place at rugby clubs and venues across Scotland.
Head Coach Gregor Townsend will kick off the workshops, leading a masterclass on attacking shape at Melrose RFC on Wednesday 26 September.
An additional six workshops featuring Scotland 7s, Edinburgh Rugby, Glasgow Warriors and Scottish Rugby Specialist Skills Coaches will take place between September-November 2018.
Scottish Rugby Specialist Skills Coach, Chris Paterson, and Scotland 7s Head Coach, John Dalziel, will both lead on two Pro-Coach Masterclasses, with Paterson focusing on first receiver skills and Dalziel on restarts.
Newly appointed Scotland National Team Assistant Coach Danny Wilson will also be presenting on contact skills.
