After writing their list and checking it twice, Scotland rugby stars David Denton and Alasdair Dickinson have revealed that all they want for Christmas is tickets to Scotland’s home RBS 6 Nations game against Ireland. The forward duo were in the festive spirit today as they got together to celebrate tickets for the highly anticipated encounter going on sale. The RBS 6 Nations fixture against Ireland will take place on the championship’s ‘Super Saturday’ (Saturday 21 March) at BT Murrayfield and tickets are expected to sell quickly following Scotland’s successful viagogo Autumn Test Series. Some 10,000 fans have already secured their places at the game after purchasing either a Scotland Season Pass or an RBS 6 Nations Pass, and supporters are encouraged to act quickly to avoid disappointment. The players, who put up a Christmas tree pitchside to mark the occasion, are both targeting a repeat of the win the last time Scotland hosted Ireland at BT Murrayfield, in 2013.Prop Alasadair Dickinson, who played in all three games of the recent Test series, said:”It’s great that so many people have already bought season passes, and we hope that others will act quickly and snap up the rest on sale. There is no greater experience than playing in front of a packed BT Murrayfield, so we hope that the fans will get behind us. “There is a lot of excitement around the squad ahead of the RBS 6 Nations and hosting Ireland at home is always a great fixture and one we look forward to.”David Denton, who featured in the Scotland squad the last time Ireland visited BT Murrayfield, added:”Every player will be fighting to be involved in the RBS 6 Nations, especially after such a positive November campaign for the squad.”The atmosphere at BT Murrayfield is second to none so it’s easy to see why tickets to the game against Ireland are the perfect Christmas present.”Match tickets for Scotland v Ireland will be available from 12 noon today (Monday 15 December) and can be purchased online at www.scottishrugby.org/tickets, through the Ticket Hotline on 0844 335 3933 (calls are charged at local rates) or in person at the Scottish Rugby Ticket Centre at BT Murrayfield (open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm).
