Scotland Take Winning Momentum To Home Tournament

AUDIO INTERVIEW: In an exclusive with www.scottishrugby.org Scotland 7s head coach Graham Shiel expressed his desire to continue Scotland’s winning momentum in to the finale of the HSBC Sevens World Series at Murrayfield this Saturday after picking up the London 7s Bowl. Scotland 7s head coach Graham Shiel interviewed after the Bowl win Scotland were undefeated on day two having beaten Portugal (26-0) and Spain (17-19) on their way to the title final with Kenya (21-19). The victory was Scotland’s third Bowl trophy of the season, the first from week one. Shiel said: “It’s great to go into the Edinburgh tournament having put in really strong performances in five from six games. “We have to take a lot of credit for that, feed off it and get ourselves back into shape so that next weekend we can compete against some very tough opposition. The guys love that challenge, it’s what makes them tick. “What a fantastic stage at Murrayfield to be set for the final of the World Series and hope we can do Scotland the nation proud.” Tickets for the Emirates Airline Edinburgh Sevens on 28 & 29 May are available form www.edinburgh7s.com and are priced from£5 for under-18s,£10 for students and senior citizens,£20 for adults and£40 for a family of four. All tickets are any day tickets – valid on Saturday 28 May or Sunday 29 May.
