Scotland U17 Success!
The Scotland under-17 development squad has been selected to prepare for this season’s Wellington International Festival. This weekend (13/14 March), preparations begin in earnest with the first of three training camps, in Peebles, for the squad of 26. Warm-up games against Newcastle Falcons and a Borders select will help prepare the players for a very demanding Festival schedule when they take on England, France and Canada in the space of eight days.Six Exiles have reached the squad with one or two being highly rated following the win against Caledonia in January. The super six are: Struan Potter Prince Henry High Gloucester Tommy Allen RGS High Wycombe / Wasps James Lightfoot Brown London Irish Callum Black London IrishWill Bordill Sandbach School/ Sandbach RFC/ Sale Michael Di Ponio St. Josephs Ipswich The Scotland U17 squad will be participating in the International Festival at Wellington College near London this Easter why not go and support! Wellington Festival, Saturday 3 to Friday 9 April Match day 1 – Sunday 4 April v England, kick-off 2pm Match day 2 – Tuesday 6 April v France, kick-off 12noon Match day 3 – Friday 9 April v Canada, kick-off 11am
