Scotland Women East v West squads announced

The Scotland Women High Performance department have announced the squads for an East v West match this Sunday (10 December) at Oriam.

The match brings together the best players from across the country and is designed to give coaches in the Scotland Women set-up the chance to see how players fare in a pressured non-club setting.

Scotland Women High Performance Manager, Scott Forrest, said: “We are at an important stage of our season as we begin to look ahead to the challenges of next year and this East v West match gives our players an opportunity to play at a higher intensity.

“It provides a great chance for current players to test themselves and allows us to identify potential Scotland Women players for the future – both this season and beyond.

“Having a run out at Oriam means we should enjoy an open and entertaining match and really see the best of the players.”

Both squads were selected by Scotland Women Head Coach, Shade Munro, as he looks ahead to the upcoming Women’s Six Nations.

The majority of the squad from Scotland Women XV’s recent victory away to Spain XV feature while those who did not make the trip to Madrid will have the chance to stake a claim for National team selection.
