Scotland Women XV to play Spain
Scotland Women will play an uncapped fixture against Spain this Autumn.
A squad of 25 will travel to Madrid to face Spain XV on Sunday 5 November before hosting a competitive training session with Wales at Oriam two weeks later (Saturday 18 November).
Scotland Women Head Coach, Shade Munro, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have an International friendly at this stage of the season.
“Year on year the Scotland Women’s programme is developing and the need for regular training and competitive fixtures is being fully supported by Scottish Rugby.
“We have aimed to provide competitive games for Scotland players to experience and learn from which in turn allows continued development for all players, ultimately preparing us for the 6 Nations Championship 2018.”
The women’s national side have played full internationals against both countries in the past twelve months, securing a notable victory over Wales in this year’s Six Nations and two narrow losses to Spain in 2017 Women’s Rugby World Cup qualification.
Squad announcements will be made on the Scottish Rugby Website and through social media channels in due course.
