Scottish Rugby Appoints Azure
Scottish Rugby has appointed premium catering and hospitality company Azure to become its conference and banqueting providers for the next three years. Azure, founded in 2000, are specialists in the stadia, sports and leisure markets, and already provide that service for Hearts, Hibs and Rangers Football Clubs. They have been appointed following a tendering process and succeed Sodexo in providing catering services and match-day hospitality at Murrayfield, home of Scottish Rugby and Scotland’s biggest stadium. Eamon Hegarty, Scottish Rugby’s Finance Director, said: “We welcome Azure, one of the leading players in the hospitality industry to Murrayfield. They have a proven track record in the sports sector at football and cricket clubs and racecourses in the UK. “We thank Sodexo for their hard work and commitment to Scottish Rugby over the last three years where they have played a significant role in enabling us to invest monies from our hospitality business into developing the game of rugby throughout Scotland. “We look forward to Azure building on that work and making a favourable impact on our commercial operation.” Adam Elliott, Azure Managing Director, said: “This is a fantastic endorsement of the hard work of the Azure team in Scotland. Our expertise, professionalism and passion for this market ensured we were able to meet the complex requirements and high standards of a stadium with the reputation and international standing of Murrayfield. We are delighted to have been appointed and look forward to working in partnership with Scottish Rugby over the next three years and beyond.”
