Scottish Rugby today announces the appointment of Dominic McKay as Director of Communications and Public Affairs. This role will contribute directly to the governing body’s strategy and lead the development and management at national, regional and local levels, of effective communications and public relations campaigns and initiatives including corporate and public affairs. Gordon McKie, Scottish Rugby’s Chief Executive, said: “I am delighted to welcome Dominic to the team at Scottish Rugby and I am sure he will play an important role in growing the profile and reputation of the sport across all levels.” Dominic joins from Chivas Brothers, one of the world’s leading Scotch whisky companies, where he was based in their global headquarters in Paisley as their Communications and Public Affairs Manager. Dominic McKay said: “I am thrilled to be joining Scottish Rugby at such an exciting time. I’m looking forward to working with colleagues to strengthen the reputation and grow the profile of Scottish Rugby.” Dominic assumes full responsibility for all media, PR, Public Affairs and Communications activities throughout Scottish Rugby.
