Scottish Rugby to broadcast Women’s Premiership Final
Scottish Rugby can today confirm that the Women’s Premiership Final (Saturday 16 December) will be broadcast for worldwide viewing on the Scottish Rugby website.
Watsonian FC and Stirling County booked their place in the Premiership final, after topping the league table in the regular season.
The game will be hosted at Myreside after the Edinburgh side finished in pole position on an unbeaten run of games.
An all Women refereeing team, led by referee Chelsea Gillespie who is assisted by Mary Pringle, Allana McLean and Yvonne Tunnivliff, will take charge of the match.
Coverage will start from 2.50pm on scottishrugby.org with commentary from Dale Clancy, who will be joined by former Scotland international, Heather Lockhart, on co-commentary.
In addition to the worldwide coverage, a highlights show with the best of the action and captain’s interviews will be available on the Scottish Rugby website and social media channels the following Monday.
Scottish Rugby Head of Marketing, Lynsey McMillan said: “It’s fantastic that we are able to once again broadcast the Women’s Premiership Final, bringing the highest end of the women’s domestic game to a wider audience and providing a platform to showcase what is sure to be an enthralling game of rugby.”
